NADJA is a duo of Aidan Baker and Leah Buckareff, formed in Toronto in 2005, but currently based in Berlin, Germany. The duo makes music which has been described as ambient doom, dreamsludge, or metalgaze. Over their nearly two decade long career, Nadja has established a unique and signature sound which combines the atmospheric textures of shoegaze and ambient or electronic music with the heaviness, density, and volume of metal, noise, and industrial.
The duo has toured extensively around the world—including performances at such festivals as SXSW, FIMAV, Roadburn, Donaufest, Le Guess Who, Incubate, and Unsound—and has shared stages with artists like Earth, OM, Ben Frost, Tim Hecker, Khanate, Neurosis, and Godflesh. Nadja has released numerous albums on many respected underground labels—including Alien8 Recordings, Daymare Records, Southern Lord, Hydrahead Records, Gizeh Records, and Important Records—and their own imprint, Broken Spine Productions.

AIDAN BAKER is a classically trained, multi-instrumentalist, originally from Toronto, Canada and currently based in Berlin, Germany. Baker creates ambient/experimental music using prepared and alternate methods, along with various electronic effects, of playing the guitar, which also draws influences from rock, electronic, classical, and jazz. Baker tours and performs regularly around the world, both solo and with the group projects NADJA and TAVARE, including appearances at such international festivals as FIMAV, SXSW, Incubate, Supersonic, Roadburn,, and Mutek. Baker has released numerous albums, as well as several books, working with such independent labels as Southern Lord, Hydrahead, Karlrecords, Gizeh Records, Utech Records, Important Records, Ici d’ailleurs, Consouling Sounds, Alien8 Recordings, and his own imprint, BROKEN SPINE PRODUCTIONS, run with his partner, LEAH BUCKAREFF.

GHONE (Giannis Kontandreopoulos) has been working since 2011 with electroacoustic music, drones of the Asian tradition, field recordings, prepared instruments, modular synthesizers and pure noise, without specific stylistic obsessions or boundaries. He has toured or collaborated with Nadja, Rita Mosss, Friki Crux, Panos Profitis, Despina Charitonidis, This Darkness Of Mine. He has taken part in the Ametric Festival in Chania in 2022, which hosted Pan American and Rashad Becker in the same year. He has collaborated with various labels (Coherent States, Submersion Records, Catch The Soap and Somehow Ecstatic). Most of his work is self-published in digital format and limited handmade packaging. He is a founding member of the instrumental post/prog rock band Afformance. He began exploring noise in 2005 with the band M5x6 and then with the bands Yassa and Holt. Under the name Catch The Soap Productions, he has been involved in concert production and poster, cover and clothing design since 2007.
